Congratulations to the five Mellon students who received honorable mentions for their performances at the recent annual Pittsburgh Public Theatre Shakespeare Monologue and Scene Contest held at the O'Reilly Theatre. Seventh graders Chloe McKee, Ben Meyer and 8th grader Ellie Reinhart won for their monologue performances and 8th graders Kamryn Natale and Tivon Lee won for their scene performance. Over 1,000 students in the area participated in the PPT Shakespeare contest. This year about 40 Lebo students grades 4-12 joined the challenge to learn and perform works by THE Bard. Mellon Middle School participants were: Piper Bozick, Greta Coleman, Leah Keen, Tivon Lee, Ben Meyer, Chloe McGee, Kate Mooney, Brooke Murawski, Kamryn Natale, Olivia Park and Ellie Reinhart.
